On 6/14/13 I purchased a complete Black bedroom set plus the queen size mattresses. I was told that the total plus tax would be 1,847.65. I explained to the sales clerk Ralph that I wanted to pay for the furniture with cash, he told me that he would try to get me a line of credit. I was under the impression that he was talking about the stores credit card. Ralph ran my credit an informed me that I had 1.300.00 in store credit. I said okay, I will use the store credit and pay the bill off in 2 to 3 payments. Ralph said that's fine. But you need a checking account so that I can take out the payment of 95.64, I explained to Ralph that I did not have an acct at the time, Ralph told me that I could use my friend (Jesse Brewsters) card for this one time transaction. So all was in agreement. I also gave Ralph 700.00 cash towards the 12pc furniture purchase. Ralph calculated the difference of deducting 700.00 from 1,847.65 I was told that I only needed to use 1,147.65 from the store credit and I could pay off the balance as soon as possible. I signed the paper thinking I had store credit but it turned out to be me signing a lease to lease the furniture. I didn't find this out until today 6/25/13 after I spoke to a woman named Ryan that broke down the whole money issue, so it turns out that I do not own the furniture an I have to pay 95.00 every 2wks for the next 5 months, After the five months are up I have the choice to buy out the merchandise for an extra 631.00. Or the store will come an take the furniture back. The sales clerk Ralph did not explain any of this to me while I was in the store and he took my money, The lady Ryan said they don't have nothing too do with the money I gave to the store that money does not go towards my purchase. So in all reality instead of me paying the 1,847.65 that I was originaly quoted as well as have a reciept for I am paying about 2,2plus for this furniture. The lady Ryan siad to me of course you haave too pay extra the company has to make money.. All I wanted to do was go to purchase some bedroom furniture not get caught up in this scam, I really feel likeI was not told the truth about my furniture purchase.. I don't have an extra 400 to 500 hundred dollars too give away...Ijust want other people that goes shopping in Home Decor Liquidators not get caught in the fraud that is going on a that store.
Thanking you
