Received quote from company for $2,600 on binding estimate to move me from Laurel, MD to Beavercreek, OH. Made down payment of $677.00. On 17 June 2013, day of packing the crew arrived at 9:30 and took until 8:30 at night to load my two bedroom apartment household goods. The 4 loaders were from Romania and only one spoke english. At 6:00 PM the lead packer, Alexi, said they filled the truck and he had to get another truck. He took my belongings away without my permission and returned an hour later with a smaller truck. The rest of my furniture was in the parking lot now. The crew started loading while Alexi started doing paper work. Now it is 8;30 and Alexi and his crew approach me with the final loading paper work. Alexi starts by saying they are charging me $1,500 for packing materiel. Next he said the cost of my move is now $10,100.00. He said he would cut me a deal and charge me a flat rate of $7,000, still well above their quote of $2,600. I was surrouned by 4 guys at night speaking loud in a Romanian type language, my belongings are gone, and so I paid half, $3,154.52 hoping this would help ensure I got my furniture in Ohio by the promised date of 19 June 2013. It is now 21 June and North American Master Lines rep, Pauline Tomich, is demanding another payment of $3,154 before I can receive my furniture. After some research I found that Ms. Tomich and North American Master Lines have been scamming people for over ten years.

  • My husband filed this report, and I am here to say we got all of our items back. They did throw us off kilter when they told my husband, in the dark parking lot at night after they drove away with all our stuff, that we had to pay more. Fortunately, we were able to do some research and forced the company into giving us our things back. DO NOT PAY THE ADDITIONAL MONEY. This company is a scam, and we have to FIGHT BACK!!! We fought back and won. Our stuff was returned with no damage and nothing missing. Keep the scrutiny on them. It's the one thing they don't want.

  • How were you able to get your items back without paying the extra they were demanding? I wish I would have found this website before I scheduled and gave them a deposit for our move next month...so I'd love to know how to go about getting our stuff back if they end up telling us we owe them way more than quoted! :)
