  • Thank you sooo much for posting this! I found the same job listing and just recieved an email asking me to fill out the pre-screening application as HR wanted to interview me before going on vacation early next week. I started to fill out the application, but since I had sent so many resumes out I replied to the email to verfiy which position this was for. No response yet, but I googled the company and this post came up. Thanks again!

  • Thank you! I also received an email stating the same thing, that I would be a good fit for their company and to complete the pre-screening application as HR wanted to see me before vacation. As Stephanie had mentioned, I had also sent out several resumes (some thru monsterjobs.com and others thru craigslist) so I wasn't sure which position I had applied for. Thank you again!

  • I also got a reply after sending my resume to Melvin Careers & Partners. Unfortunately, I finished the pre-screening interview but didnt finish the credit score because it wouldn't accept my credit card. Am I still in danger of scam, if so what should I do??

  • Thanks for the heads up on this scam...I got the email was so excited..then this..oh well this is the email I got
Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at http://workformelvin.info or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is 041971.

Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview. I did not do anything.

  • Hi there & Thanks! I too received a response this morning from his company requesting a backround report for $9.95. Same message as all the above, but different job code. Fortunately, I googled the company and found this report, glad I did. There are so many scammers out there anymore. It is really hard to know which job listing is or isn't a scam of somekind. Good Luck all!

  • Hi all! ...thanks for the heads up! ..I just received the same email. The email is identical to what I received with a different job code number. I decided to google the company since the email didn't specify the position I was supposedly a good fit to. I also submitted several applications from Craigslist and didn't know which application did the email referred to. I agree with Gayle, it is very hard to determine which job post is or isn't a scam!! Finding a job is hard..and now trying to determine if the job post isn't a scam, it makes job hunting even harder!! :(
Anyways, thanks again for posting this!!
