I place and order for a surround sound system on 9/9/11 at elektronicmart.com and received an email confirmation with receipt on 9/12 indicating that my credit card was charged. On 9/14 I received another email indicating that it shipped. On 9/16 I received an email that said, “It will most likely go out later today so you can expect that tracking number sometime after 5pm.” On 9/19 I received another email that read, “I have sent over an email to our shipping dept to find out what is going on and why you haven't gotten a tracking number as of yet.”
On 9/21 I received another email that read, “We are currently experiencing a delay on the shipment of many of our orders, our shipping system has been down which is why tracking numbers were not sent out but this has also caused a lot of our products to show "in stock" that weren't. Due to these issues your order will not ship out until Friday/Monday due to the item not being in stock we have a shipment coming in on Friday (not sure of the time) so depending on the time it comes in will determine when the order goes out for delivery. If you would like to cancel this order and receive a full refund instead we can also do that for you, please just let us know. If you still would like the order we will refund your shipping charges (please allow 5-7 days to see this refund). We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has/or may have caused, we are a wholesaler to businesses and this is a new venture for us selling to the public which will allow us to work out the kinks now our service will get better as we get more experienced with internet sales to the public.” I advised them that I would like to proceed with my order if it will ship as expected.
On 9/27 I received another email that stated, “Your order did ship out on Monday”(9/26) ”however our shipment emails are not going out and we are in the process of fixing that. You should receive an email tomorrow with your tracking details, we are having to manually send them out. Sorry about the delay.”
I still have not received a tracking number. I sent them 6 emails between 9/27 and 9/30 requesting proof of shipment by providing my tracking number, they have not responded. When trying to call the phone number listed on their website I just get a voicemail, but their mailbox is full. I have called multiple times throughout the day. This looks like a scam, buyer beware!!!
