they called and said they were Publishing Clearing House His name was James Franklyn and to claim my husband winning he had to put 397.00 on a reloaded greendot card and when he did that he had to put another 500. on another green dot card and then they wanted another 1750.00 then we could get his money . HE said the money was to pay the taxes and the final 1750.00 for the 1099 taxes. He is expecting us to call him back when we get the other 1750.00. We have never won anything so we didnt know . We gave them all the money we had I hope you can please help us with this problem

    Unfortunately this is a scam. Do not continue to communicate with them. You do not need to send any money to collect your winnings, nor do you have to purchase anything in order to enter into the true Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.
    When I won in August of 2008, The Prize Patrol visited me in person with a big check and I was required to do some paperwork. When all was said and done, they sent me the true check. I sent them nothing but the required paperwork. Absolutely NO money was required on my part. They even sent me a pre-paid stamped envelope!! Taxes were then MY responsibility come the following year, and they sent me a 1099 for that very purpose in January.

  • YES THAT'S A SCAM it happened to me a couple years ago I told them you don't pay money if I won money never heard from them again I wish I knew about this site then I could have posted it
