on 30th January, 2013 I ordered & paid for 2 dozen long stemmed roses and a hand-blown glass vase to be delivered to my wife for Valentines Day. The flowers that were delivered were not long stemmed, it was just a bunch of roses, and the vase wasn't delivered at all. Calling their telephone line resulted in a recorded message stating (either) to leave a message (which I did), or that their phone lines would be switched back on on Saturday. I sent 4 emails, and tried their Live Chat facility. I sent a photo of the flowers. No response what-so-ever. I will not let it rest & will be taking it to the Office of Fair Trade.

A very aggressive lady from Bloomex called me on Tuesday (5 days later) telling me that they would redeliver some time after 25th Feb when their next shipment of flowers comes in.

I told her this was not acceptable, as the flowers ordered were for Valentines Day, not 2 weeks later. She offered a "store credit", but I do not want to deal with this company ever again.

She said that, as I had "product" delivered, they would not refund and that if I took them to court all I would get is what she is offering now (she said she knows because had been to court before).

I have lodged a formal complaint with the Qld Office of Fair Trading.

  • It has now been 7 days since I sent all the details of this complaint to "Megan" at Bloomex. Despite a follow up email, there has been no response what-so-ever.
