I saw a business opportunity on TV through Income At Home, so I requested an information kit for $9.95. When I received the information kit and discovered that the “business opportunity” was with the MLM company Herbalife, I responded to my “sponsors”, Michael and Rosemary Bottai via email stating that I’m not interested in becoming a Herbalife distributor. I asked them to please remove me from their mailing lists and not to send me any additional packages. I didn’t receive a response, so I sent a second email message requesting that nothing further be charged to my bank account and to please confirm. Again, I didn’t receive a response.
Today, I discovered a $39.95 charge on my bank account from Michael Bottai that I didn’t authorize. I contacted Herbalife and requested a refund. I also called Michael Bottai and left a message to return my call. Judging from my previous, unsuccessful attempts to contact him, he will probably not return my call. I doubt I will receive a response from Herbalife either.

- I received a response via voicemail message from Herbalife. They requested a copy of my bank statement showing the charge for $39.95 made by Michael Bottai; I complied with this request. On 2/23/13, I noticed a credit to my account for $39.95. This credit resolves my complaint against Michael Bottai (a.k.a. Online Business Systems). I don't recommend anyone doing business with this company; save your money!
