We have been struggling through this economy like everyone else. Before the Great Recession we put our savings into some investment property (residential). We have been carrying this property on and off for almost five years now. It became vacant in Oct. and we couldn't we missed a payment which actually turned into three payments later. It is now current, but Farmer's dropped our homeowners ins. because of the vacancy. We need a gov't program that protects consumers from this practice. After being a loyal customer for nearly 20 yrs. they just decide it's too much of a risk. This treatment sucks!
