In 2011 I purchased over a few items from Sheplers Western Wear. Their websites boasts a flat rate delivery fee to Canada. They know but neglect to mention that when my order arrived at customs, they would tag 6 times as much delivery charge as they do. Why? Sales! and they don't care. I attempted no less than 10 times afterward to complain and find out what could be done about a $350 off white leather jacket I purchased that even mist in the air stained. It looks like coffee was spilled her and there just from trickles of water. I never wore it in the poring rain but any bit of moisture stains it. It is a shame because it is a beautiful jacket.
When I finally did manage to get a response, I was asked to take pictures of it to send so that the manager could have a look and give me suggestions on what I could do. It does not have the type of leather it is made from on the label and is very soft, no sheen....and not treated apparently. I was informed that it was made from cowhide! Really...well that and $2 will get you a coffee at Tim`s but it does not help me does it? They never even told me if it could be dry-cleaned. The response when they received the photos was that since the clothing article had been worn, there was nothing that they could do about it.
I guess their customer satisfaction is only effective until they complete the money transaction. I requested advice fix it or to have it replaced.
Other items purchased did not match size descriptions and sale items, although shown in stock when order was placed, were out of stock on the invoice when it arrived and no back orders. If it had not been for those sale items I would not have purchased anything from them to begin with.
I would advise anyone to steer clear and not do business with Sheplers.
