Multiple calls from a computer generated calling system showing as "unavailable" on Caller ID but often no person responded. Finally talked to "Shawn Collins" who claimed he was a licensed Microsoft Windows representative and they had been notified of security compromise in my system...read off a scripted pitch and wanted me to verify CLS ID on my computer. He would not tell me what he was trying to sell me if there was a problem with my computer. I had to probe to get this company name and phone number, and he assumed I was in Canada instead of Alaska so gave me a Canadian contact number. I eventually hung up on him he was so aggressive.
He had the audacity to call back and bascially tell me I should not trust the IT guys I work with more than him to which I told him not to call back and hung up on him. Checked out this site and see that others had similar problems...thanks for your entries!
