craigslist kevin shook was to build a playhouse for my daughters birthday. ordered it in may 28th gave him 650.00 down payment for material. one excuse after another why it cant be delivered.says he will refund our money seems we are not the only one who has been scamed by kevin shook.i to signed a contract.

  • We are in the process of suing this clown right now! By reading these other complaints about him, this seems to be his MO. He takes your money, never delivers the playhouse and strings you out with one silly excuse after another. We will put an end to him and his scam! We are coming for you Kevin! You can't hide!

  • I too have been threatened. I can't believe he has done this to others and that he has to nerve to threaten people for the money he stole from them.

  • I was threatened this week. The seller is telling me I am in breach of contract. Isn't he bound to the same contract? I have stopped all communication with the seller and will contact the authorities if need be.

  • Same thing with me. It's obvious he's trying to scare us, but we can't let him. The person gathering info at [email protected] is legitimate. I talked to them. They said Kevin pretended to be someone else and emailed them. They also said he is on this site. It might be time to call the police on this guy.

  • I have pretty much the same story as all of you. Our church needed a shed, so our Pastor found Kevin Shook, sent him over $500 for a deposit, but his truck wouldn't start, he had a few heart attacks, couldn't get the crew together, etc., so needless to say, we don't have a shed.

    I am a Private Investigator and retired Deputy Sheriff and have taken on the task of finding Shook for my church to try to get the money back, and would like to help you all too. (No charge, so I won't be asking you to send me a deposit). It would actually be a mutual thing since many of you probably have information on Shook that I don't have.

    If anyone is skeptical (I would be) you can go to my website, www.jglauinvestigations.com. My phone number is on the web site if you'd like to call me to really confirm I am who I say I am.   • Yes I would like to join you, he just ripped me off for $650 for a shed that was supposed to be delivered in Sept 2011. To this date, nothing. He makes up all types of excuses and now I can't get a refund from him. He needs to be stopped. 951-522-6104

  • Hi Robert, I believe that Shook has paid most people back at this point. I'm not aware of a Don Mecum. We just received our final payment from Shook a week or so ago. As such, we'll be dropping our small claims suit in San Joaquin County. I can see why you're looking into it, but you might be a little late to the party at this point. Regards, Becky
