I had a laptop for sale on Craigslist. This number texted me, wanting to buy this laptop for his cousin in Africa. He said he'd pay the amount I was asking for and pay the shipping fees as well. He talked me into using PayPal, which I had never used before. Everytime paypal would message me, he would know & text me. I got talked into spending $770 that I was told by paypal and this person, that it would be credited back into my paypal account. I waited about a week and a half, and foolowed all instructions from paypal. I even tranferred money over to Africa. By the time I realized and actually called this number, the man on the other end had told me that someone wired texting through his phone number and was scamming alot of people and that he got calls daily. He told me it was all a scam and repeated info to me that i had already known. By the time I tried to stop the package and the money transfer, it was too late. Even paypal couldnt do anything about it.
