I received a call from a Michael Turner claiming to be calling from Canadian Cash Award from this number (Personal Info Removed). He proceeded in telling me I won money because I've been paying my bills & shopping or using my credit card. Then he asked me to confirm my address and location. He then said Ups would be delivering me a certified cheque for $350,000.00 and also to receive this cheque the company would send me $250 advance to pay for this cheque. He said this money would come from Ontario and for me to watch my mail. Once I got the money I was to deposit it to my account and then the big win would be sent to me. He then mentioned I could get $50,000.00 right away if I gave them $100 cash. At that point I told him I was online checking this cie and that it was a scam. He persued to tell me that it was not. I then told him not to call again because I would have the police deal with this.
They have been calling for weeks because this number constantly appears on my phone.
Sad to think some people lose money because they believe these scams.
