Like many people my age, you are very trusting and think that you have researched everything carefully. Well, I guess I had not done as well as I thought.
I was contacted by this company Capital Lending Services in April, 2012, thru email. As I said I read and researched them and thought I was good to go.
They promised me that they would be able to help me and even told me that they were part of the Obama Mortgage help concerns. Offering a consolidation of my Mtgs. at 2.99 % interest, 30 years fixed, at $800. a month starting July 15th. not to make another payment on my present Mtgs. The closing fees for the transaction would be $1500.00, so I sent them $1500.00 and told them that it was the money I had for my next Mtg. payment, and they assured me that all was well . It was deposited in the Wells Fargo Bank , N.A. by and for Ricardo A Mendieta, dba Capital Lending advisors.
With a few uplifting conversations on the telephone with Mr. David Wuest, and Mr. Richard Austin, I felt confident. We also corresponded by email, david@capitallendingadvisors, and richard@capitallendingadvisors.
It was getting closer to the time of payment and I still had not heard from a lending company, so I called Mr. Austin and he told me that it was a company called First Fidelity, he was not sure he would have to get back to me. I waited two more days and then I called them on the morning of July 6th 2010 to find that their phone number was disconnected. My daughter in law tried to find me a new telephone # and found that they had already been posted as scam artists on Rip Off.com.
Needless to say I am now trying to save my house from forclosure, our heads are on the chopping block. I want my money back as well as the three months worth of Mortgage payments. I can not for the life of me understand how these people can take advantage of older people and get away with this with no concience whatsoever. Fighting for my Home in New Hampshire.......
