I am disabled with Lupus and unable to work which leaves me and my Son with no Health Insurance coverage. After seeing a commercial by President Obama regarding Healthcare I began searching the web to find available coverage that we were eligible for. During my search a survey that looked legitimate appeared with an offer for a $500.00 check by simply by completing a short survey. I took the survey and at the end it said claim your prize by clicking below so I did. It only prompted another survey and I had to respond to 2 offers to get my gift they offered. One offer I responded to was for a free $50.00 shopping card that I needed to use immediately from a company named TheLuxRack. I had to choose from their discounted items to redeem my $50.00 of free merchandise. First all the items that were really appealing were sold out so I had to rush through all the items while the timer was running down above the screen. I hastily selected a 2 piece sweat suit for myself and a nice white pair of sunglasses for my Son that he has wanted for over 5 years. The total amount reached $39.98 for both items which was well under the $50.00 gift card they had issued me which left enough to cover additional charges for shipping and handling. They debited my bank account $45.38 for the free merchandise and sent me a third item (a pair of women's sunglasses) that I did not order. When the merchandise arrived the poor quality of it all was an embarrassment. None of it reflected their ads and photos provided on the website. The clothing is an off brand and even though I ordered a size larger than I wear like they suggested it is still snug. My Son was so anxious to see the sunglasses and I just prayed as I handed him the unopened cloth bag that they were mailed in that they were like the pair I ordered and not cheap like the outfit I got. Unfortunately the sunglasses were even worse than the outfit and all I could do was walk out of the room to cry. They had no trademark on the legs and were supposed to be "Leo Duvati" brand. I had been ripped off and taken advantage of but the money that luxrack took from me for the deceiving free gifts wasn't as heartbreaking as seeing my Child do his very best to pretend like he was still excited and grateful for his new white sunglasses that he had waited so very long for. He tried to make the cheap and flimsy glasses sit straight on his face but they were irregularly shaped and too fragile to try to straighten without breaking. Street vendors and Mardi Gras floats have better quality items than what we received, how can anyone prey upon unsuspecting people like that and sleep at night. I know that the "fine print" and legal disclaimers that they have you agree to covers them legally from being named crooks and thieves that drain your bank account so they put the stopwatch above their items limiting the time you have remaining to redeem your worthless gift card that they do not honor, this way you do not read the entire contents stating how they are intending to take all the money they can from you while you are busy trying to select items from their luxurious high quality selections that you can't believe you have been so lucky and fortunate to discover. To anyone that reads this, please don't be fooled like I was. You will not receive the $500.00 check for the survey and responding to luxrack's phony $50.00 gift card offer will cost you valuable time, money, pride and future trust in people.
