In looking up information from the BBB about Baktur & Baktur, Baktur and Baktur as well as Baktur Success Institute I found that the BBB had given them an "F" rating.

This was because they were unable to LOCATE this business in addition to NOT getting any response to there inquries. None of the complaints were settled on the BBB website.

The address that was shown for these businesses is just a P.O. Box (#234) at a UPS store at that address. This is a strip center. No office space was found to be leased at this physical address by this business according to the leasing agent for the building owner. I also confirmed this by calling the UPS store at 818-700-8123.

Here is a copy of the alleged complaints from the BBB website:

Complaint: 03/06/2012: Consumer alleges: I paid the company $8,000.00 for them to assist me with applying for a grant. I was told that I would get a full refund after six months if I did not get one. I was working with a representative named John Walker, who I was told is no longer with the company. I have not heard from anyone at the company for about six months. I did not get my grant, therefore, I want my full refund. I need the company to contact me.

Complaint: 04/09/2012: Consumer states company failed to provide services as promised. He hired the company to assist him in getting a government grant. The company took a total of $5,000 from him, however, he has received nothing in return. He has tried to contact the company on the matter to no avail.

Complaint: 04/17/2012: Collected money from my credit card without my permission or signature,and now are refusing to return my money as verbally agreed. This started on 11-11-2011 and still has not been resolved even after I,ve spoken to them on telephone several times and money had been sent. This was with senior adviser Scott.

Complaint: 02/16/2012: Consumer states, He contacted the company to inquire into services, he provided his account information in order to receive books regarding grants. This was followed by a charge of $1200 for classes that he did not ask to purchase. He contacted the company and advised them that these service were unrequested and the charge was not authorized. They stated that a full refund minus a processing fee would be sent to him. He returned the books, however he has not been refunded the full amount due.

Despite their "Warranty of Service" claims, you will NOT likely receive any money back from this outfit.
However, since they call the "fee" you pay them an "Investment", you may be able to secure a full refund if they have failed to register in your particular state for the sale of securities. You will need to check with your State on the laws and rules regulating the sale of "investments" and securities in your particular State.

If you feel that you have been taken advantage of be sure to file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office, the Federal Trade Commission as well as the BBB.
