I have been paying this for 3-years. It is far more than I should be paying for this service but worse yet, they claim I signed a 5-year contract and refuses to let me out. They also will not answer my calls and refuse to return my phone calls or send me a copy of the contract they say I signed. I am claiming $97.40 for 2-months of monitoring after I've attempted to cancel the service. More details follows:

I called Security Networks (the people who actually bill me) in May to cancel my monitoring service. A person from your company left a message on my answering machine saying that it would be cancelled on June 30th, 2012.

In June I received a bill for monitoring services. I called to make sure that it would be the last bill I would have to pay. They stated that they could not help me and that I needed to contact IronGate, the company who sold me the service.

There was an issue with my contract; specifically they told me they couldn’t find my contract. I volunteered the information that I’ve had the service for 3-years now and I believe my agreement was for 5-years.

Jennifer Lemke (715-456-1588) told me that I shouldn’t worry about the 5-years since it is only an agreement and not a contract. She stated to me and my whole family that one customer had the security system installed and then lost her job only a few months thereafter. This customer had no problem cancelling the agreement.

I told Holly (214-500-9645 and 323-314-2227) that my wife has just lost her job; consequently, I am having to make cut-backs in some of our spending. Home security monitoring is one of the items which I need to cancel. She wasn’t able to give me an answer but told me she would call back. She never did call back.

Since that time I have located all my paperwork from Jennifer Lemke and I do not see anything related to a contract or an agreement. I have requested Holly to send or fax a copy of the contract/agreement I signed. Again, I have received no answer. She never answers my phone calls and never returns any of my messages.

At this point I am very disappointed by the service I have received from Iron Gate. I feel as if I was lied to by Jennifer Lemke. I am appalled by Iron Gate’s refusal to answer or return my many phone calls.

  • Hello James, I used to work for IronGate and unfortunately the contract is legal and Irongate or Security Networks will not cancel the contract. None of the alarm monitoring companies will cancel a contract once you sign it. I have my own dispute with Irongate. You can reach the owner Daniel Kim @ 314-330-8303 and complain to him if it will make you feel better.
