I 'won' a 'free' auction for an iPOD Nano. They billed me for it - with my concent - but would not send without documentation (copy of ID front and back of credit card) when I expressed my concern in sending this information, according to them its their policy of 'one 'prize' per family' despite the fact that i actually paid for it, they then promptly billed me a fee for a premium package. when I queried this they told me that I had signed up for it when I paid for the iPOD by registering and agreeing to the terms and conditions. I then told them that this was a scam and very deceitful, they told me if I cancel the contract before the 3 month period that I would have to pay a further ZAR295 - which would total to a lump sum of R1000 out of my pocket - and no product as I refuse to send them my details (not that it matters as they now have my card no and seem to be able to debit my account as they see fit. Neither my bank nor our credit protection act seems to be able to assist me in getting a re imbursment or deleting my bank details off their system. I am livid that there are people out there with no concience what so ever. Its one thing to scam someone out of money but in any ones terms $100 is not a small amount in todays times when most of us are in financially struggling.
