After responding to a craigslist ad for a Macbook air that seemed too good to be true I was contacted by Alissa McGee, who had recently moved from Boston back "home" to Vancouver. We agreed on the $450- price for the laptop and she suggested using Interparcel, an online brokerage to manage the deal; She sends her product to them, they have their technicians review the merchandise to ensure the validity of the claim, then I transfer the money, via Western Union to a Jacob Marsell in Bolton, United Kingdom. After I returned from Western Union I googled "craigslist interparcel scam" and numerous posts came up about a similar "Alissa" selling a laptop/camera/iphone for $450- with the address 6409 Vine Street, Vancouver, BC, V6M 4B1, Canada. Luckily I was able to have the money returned to me, minus the $42- processing fee. Please beware and thank you scambook for confirming what my gut was telling me.
