I was actively looking for a quick advance payday loan. I was approved for a loan and they sent 2 emails but I never clicked the link to accept the loan and when they called I declined. I did not know about any charge. On Wednesday, 6/6 I saw a check cashed from Capital Advance Capitol Payday 866-766-1710 in the amount of $30. I called the 866 number and they told me that I applied for a loan and their was an application fee associated with the loan. I explained that this was not known and that I never got the loan. The rep (who hardly spoke English) stated I didn't get the loan because I never went on the website to approve the loan. I thought if I didn't approve the loan how did I get a fee. I went back and forth with her for a little while but then demanded a refund. She stated that she cancelled my account and that I wouldn't be charged anymore and would receive a $100 gas card to any gas station via email. Well I have called twice and they have given me the same story. I have not received anymore charges; however, I never received a email with this alleged gas card either. My bank returned the check because I didn't have the funds but this "fake" check cost me $36 in overdraft fees. I will never search for a payday loan online again. I will just stick with the legitimate payday companies I know about. If they try to obtain funds out of my account again I will close my account due to fraud.
