Candi Models was advertising on facebook for models, I put my son forward for a chance to get through, He was chosen,I rang him & said he would get a call, I then began to read through what they were saying happens next!
I have done modeling myself & found it difficult to tell if it was in fact a scam!
The way it is worded misleading to believe that it was a model agency, I called the right away, this happened within 20mins or so of the application being accepted,
I spoke to a guy who would not answer my question & kept changing the subject telling me about modeling, TRYING to fill my head with big dreams etc, but NOT answering my question,
after about 10 mins of him babling on I had to get firm with him & said if this is a scam & not a agency I will report you, is this a Model agency? or is it just photographers? he finally admitted to me it was a photo studio & NOT a Model agency, then tried to make excuses,
I told him there & then not to contact my son, that we was not interested, etc.
I wrote a email to them telling them the same, not to contact him, then I called my son, who's phone was engaged, when I got through it was too late they called him telling him he had won a place & taken his bank details, I again called them very angry saying "DO NOT TAKE MONEY FROM HIS ACCOUNT"! they agreed not to, I emailed them "DO NOT TAKE MONEY FROM HIS ACCOUNT!" they took it!
he got a letter & receipt in the post we have kept!
trying to get them to pay back what they took is a nightmare I think they are hoping we will give up or forget!
