I hired this property management company to manage my home in GA back in Dec 2011. The owner came out to my house to check it out, get paperwork signed, and took possession assuring me not to worry as I was going out of the country for 4 months. I specifically told him I could only be reached via email. Before I left, I informed the owner that i accidently caused the commode line to leak & there was a bad wind storm that blew shingles off the roof & these things needed immediate attention. Within a week, I received a bill for repairs (500.00) made without my authorization and things that did not need fixing. Nothing about repair of roof or leak. I received emails stating they had tenants; however, they had lowered my rent by $200 and dismissed my rule of no pets. They said they had been calling me, but of course I had suspended my phone services. They later email me a signed lease, but no mention of first month rent, because they keep the entire deposit. When I inquired about it, I was told tenants did not move in due to leaky roof and grass not cut. When I returned to the states, i found the roof had leaked & messed up the nice ceiling, grass was waist high, house fifty, and bedroom carpet moldy from water leak. I called company and drove over an hour to get the keys to my house. When I arrived, I waited 20 minutes to be told the tenants still had the key since Apr 6 and it was May 1. Tenants told me they were coerced into giving a deposit without seeing house as someone else wanted the house as well. Tenants still had the key because company had delayed giving their money back. The owner of company refused to answer my calls or return my calls. Pathetic.
