I ordered a "free" 14-day trial of SlimVida and Colon Flow. They took 8 days to arrive, reducing the trial period to 7 days. The included information said that, unless I rang them (on an American number) within the 14-day trial period and requested an RMA (returns) number, I would be billed for the bottles. So much for a FREE trial!

The address on the returns label is Nether Road, Galashiels. This is only 20 miles from my home so I personally went to return the items. Unsurprisingly, this is NOT Natural Health's premises, and the security guard there says they are getting lots of returns to this company. He did, however, give me a UK phone number for them so here it is

I spoke to a lady called Jenelle, and after much discussion during which I was told my trial had expired the day before and that I'd already been billed the £125, she gave me the RMA numbers (which, by the way, are already printed on the returns labels!) and promised me that I would have my full £125 refunded within 24-48 hours of them receiving the products. She then offered me two free gifts as way of apology - I refused, as their idea of "FREE" seems to cost a lot of money.

I hope I get my refund. In the meantime, I am reporting the company to Trading Standards for false advertising

  • I have been sucked into the same scam! Feel like such a mug! I havent recieved my products yet but did apply for the "free trial". After seeing a post about this product on another website i decided to check it out and after reading many comments on here i have realised i have been scammed! They get you when your at your lowest and would do anything to be happy. Weight is alot of peoples issue which is why they use it to get people to order the free sample! When i ordered the sample it said it was only available untill the 7th May (Yesterday) Well being that it is now the 8th and they are still asking you to order your sample it all seems very suss! I cant believe i have been sucked into this i have a 3 month old baby and just can not afford for them to take the money from my account!! :-(

  • Can I say, the MINUTE you receive your goods, ring that number I gave you and tell them you want the RMA numbers to send the goods back. If you do this within the 14-day trial period you will not be charged anything.

    As you say, they prey on people who are vulnerable. This product DOES NOT work, and more than the other hundreds of "miracle" slimming pills.

    Another thing - you will have to pay postage to send the items back - they don't give you a reply-paid envelope either, so you pay postage twice for the items.

    Feel such a mug about this all, have had a few emails back and forth with them, so already have my rma number just need the product to come quickly. Thanks

  • Keep on at them, as my first 2 emails from them was exaclty the same wording so I replied with a few not so nice words just to see if it was just an automated email they sent.. Eventualy got a better response saying I had to wait for product so again I sent 2 or 3 harsh email and eventualy got them to give me the rma number so just need the product now tho saying that from what I read the address they tell you to send it to does not exist so have just mailed them again with more harsh words.. Feel such a mug but nothing can be done, went to bank today who have taken note of it all and will prevent any money leaving my bank..

  • Have your bank said they can stop the payments then as alot of people have said they have had to close their accounts to stop it happening.... i feel like a mug aswell but were all in the same boat and i think we have all learnt from it so dont beat yourself up over it.... am just about to send them a very harsh worded email lol

  • When I spoke to them today they deffo seemed confident they wouldnt manage to take money from my account tho did say if they did get any money because I have reported the fraud they can get all money back.. Good luck is all I say as I never have money in my account anyway and sure my bank will be more on the ball when they take me overdrawn... Harsh words are the way forward, i suffering pmt just now so my emails have been to a very high standard lol

  • Sorry I didn't make it clearer before. The returns address DOES exist - it just isn't Natural Health Network. Its a company who work on their behalf, accepting in the returns. They are the ones who gave me the phone number to ring.

  • wow they should know better than to mess with PMT! Lol!! Sad fact is that hundreds of people are locked in the same scam... seriously can this company be getting much money as i cant imagine anyone leaving it and carrying on with the product.... Surely they should be bankrupt soon ? lol x

  • phew thats deffo made me feel betta as the email they sent told me that was the return address so was a bit scared that was another scam so that you couldnt send it back within 14days....

    They cant be making much money tho to be fair all the people them scammed even is got a pound from we all they be very comfortable..
    It has deffo made me think twice about ordering on line again, if they dont do paypal i not paying lol x

  • I also was sucked in with this company tried cancelling same day by email never got a reply I rang the next day to be told that you cann't cancel by email not what it says on the web site!! he said it was too late to cancel less than 24 hours after ordering I have been in touch with my bank who cancelled my card and are keeping a watch on my account to make sure no more money goes out. If you inform your bank of this fraud and say you do not want them to pay any money to this company (which by the way go under the name of Pura silk) they have to obey your wishes FSA rules

  • You should still get in touch with your bank and explain as from what i have discovered about this firm could try and take another payment and your bank will stop this also might help you get your money back from previous payment

  • Finally recieved the product and sent them a very hot headed email.... without argument they have sent me the RMA numbers which were already printed on the package anyway! So going to send it off and hope this is all the end of it!!!

  • Mine came today too and sent straight back tracked and recorded so that i have proof if they try and get a penny from me.. my 14 days runs out on 19th so they should deffo get it within time.. fingers crossed thats it over now for we both xox

  • I have emailed them again to advise I returned the product and want my account cancelled, they have mailed back requesting the tracking number via email and once they have this they can cancel it over email before they recieve the product. Happy days ;0)

  • Hi Ladie's, I have also fallen for this!!! I have received one of the items but not the other yet. I tried to ring the number that Borderscrafter mentioned above but it just told me to leave a message. I have cancelled my credit card so I'm hoping that is the end of it but I would still like to contact them. What is the email address you have been contacting them on please?

  • I hope you are luckier than me Rachael - I have had the £125 taken out of my bank because I was one day late in contacting them (that's because the number they give you is never answered, so you can't contact them to cancel unless you ring the number I got from the return address)

  • I will keep trying thanks. I just think it's disgusting that people actually get away with this!! It's hard enough trying to get by in life as it is!! I suppose I don't really need to send them back if I have cancelled my card, what are they going to do?? Unfortunately you need to get a refund though.

  • [email protected], this the email address i used, the first couple of replys I got was exact same wording so think this was just there bog standard reply, but I kept mailing them and eventualy got a normal response. I have also spoke to bank and got letter today to say they blocked from taking any money, so hopefully that is end of it tho I have kept all emails for proof just incase ;o)

  • Thanks Rachael - I've sent them an e-mail, and hopefully they will get their act together and refund my money. They were quick enough to take it out, but taking their time to put it back. Still waiting for a reply from my bank, Watchdog and the local Trading Standards office.

  • UPDATE:- Since contacting my local trading standards office (who contacted the owner of the company in New York) I have had an e-mail saying that a full refund has been processed to my account. It will take 3-5 days, so I will let you all know as soon as I get it. Please contact your local trading standards - they have worked magic for me.

  • Thats fab news... I got email yesterday from them thanking me for sending them the tracking number and saying my account now cancelled, so I am leaving it just now but if they do try take money trading standards for sure as have the proof they confirmed its cancelled ;o)

  • TOO FUNNY!!! You people!! 1. Cannot advise a company not to take a payment that you have very stupidly (as seems to be the UK way) and blindly agreed to a payment. Even a bank cannot stop a payment which has been authorized even if it seems to be an ill advised purchase. 2. Natural Health Network NOT based in NY, and 3: any warehouse dealing with the great unwashed looking for a miracle will not provide any kind of accurate information to a pathetic, desperate consumer...... did you think they would show you proof of ownership and perhaps invite you in for a spot of tea?!? How does your silly little nation continue to exist??? Not to say that the products are any good or that the policies are sound... but truly, the absolute ridiculousness of your backwards little decaying society really begs a good laugh!!!

  • Yeah this is all rather too funny, tho maybe the person that has nothing betta to do with your time than write pointless cr*p is is in my opinion more stupid...Yeah so we fell for a scam and wrote on this, tho you are the loser reading through it all and writing utter diarrhoea... So now i am sat laughing at you where reading up on this is the highlight of your life...
