I was browsing Craigslist for an IMac. I heard back from Emily Bernstein who said she was now in Vancouver and offered me the Mac of my dreams for $600. She offered to use MyParcelDelivery.com as our agent to insure I'd get the package safely and be able to examine it for 2 weeks before the funds were released. I gave her my address and my next correspondence was from MyParcelDelivery.com telling where the nearest Western Union was to wire the $600. I was very uncomfortable about wiring the money and so googled the company again. I found the Emily scam listings and contacted myparceldelivery.com to report the incident. I did not send the money. They have not responded and I am not sure what to do next.

  • I received same email from same Emily with same story ($600 imac) just 10 minutes ago.
Guess what? I also contacted the same person(last name changed) from a different email and she/he replied back with the same exact email like the first one!!
What do we do?? of course not pay a penny!

  • This "Emily" person is still falsely advertising. I was about to purchase a Macbook Pro of my dreams for $600. Same email response except this time her name is Emily McCaffrey. Thank goodness I was too paranoid and decided to google "My Parcel Delivery" and came up with this. I just wanted to thank this site and everyone who took their time to post scams to help others.

  • I just want to say to the person who works for MyParcelDelivery that I did notify the company of the "questionable" use of their name by this seller and that there has yet to be a response to my email. If the company really cares about this abuse, they should post something to alert folks about the problem on their site. I was very disappointed in the lack of response to my query. Though I don't think the company is in "cohoots" with emily of vancouver, it doesn't seem they are actively involved in warning anyone about the problem.

  • Hi, I'm the CEO of myparceldelivery.com - a legitimate and well known parcel delivery site in the UK.
Recently, some people have been running a scam via Gumtree and craigslist - creating websites such as:
    http://www.vanc-myparceldelivery.net/en_language.internet.transactions/index.html
    http:// us-myparceldelivery.net
(and a number of other extensions)
With the intention of defrauding customers by pretending to sell iPads and requiring payment via Western Union.
Our company - myParcelDelivery.com - is in NO WAY related to these scam websites with various prefixes.
MyParcelDelivery.com is a UK based courier comparison site and we do not sell ANY physical products or work with agents selling or arranging shipments of such products through our courier services. As a further note, we do NOT accept any form of payment through Western Union to a specific person. All payments on our website are through Paypal or recognized Credit / Debit cards.
As soon as we have become aware of any such sites adverting through Craiglist, Gumtree or other such sites, we have immediately contacted the company hosting the fraudulent site and provided evidence to prove that people are illegally exploiting our branding and content and asked them to remove the offending website. To date, we have closed over 10 of these domains.

We want to protect consumers from these scammers who are defrauding people and also tarnishing our good name by creating these fake sites. If anyone comes across any further sites of this nature, please contact us via http://www.myparceldelivery.com/contactus.aspx and we will put all our efforts into shutting down these fraudulent sites.

    Regards,

    Paul Haydock
    CEO, myParcelDelivery.com
