Scambook does not charge users to submit their complaints on We provide a complaint resolution platform completely free to Scambook users for submitting their complaints, and interacting with other individuals.

What is Scambook Premium Support?

Scambook offers Premium Support to our users that prefer a more personalized experience through their resolution process. Through Premium Support, Scambook is able to provide a few additional benefits to users such as:

- Dedicated Scambook Premium Support phone line.

- Dedicated Scambook Investigator.

- Live Chat availability.

- Monthly Certified Letters mailed out to the business on your behalf.

Can a business view my personal information publicly?

Any personal information (email address, phone number, address) you provide Scambook upon sign up is kept completely private. Businesses will never have access to this information and it will only be used when a Scambook team member needs to contact you with any updates and progress made to your complaint.

How do I contact the company that has taken money out of my account?

If you have already submitted a complaint on, an Investigator will be researching the business shortly. A company profile will be created with any contact information that you are able to provide, along with all other information obtained by the Scambook Investigators working on your complaint. You are able to find all of this information through your dashboard.

Is it ok to respond to businesses directly?

There is no way for Scambook to guarantee that the person contacting you is the official business. Scambook offers a platform for businesses to contact you, where we are able to facilitate your resolution process. If you have received any Official Response from the business through Scambook Resolution, a notification will show up on your dashboard.

If you are unsure of what you should do, you are able to contact our Business Department to confirm that the business is currently working with Scambook to resolve your complaint and we will let you know what your next steps should be.

Can Scambook help me take legal action against the business that scammed me?

Just to be clear, Scambook's primary purpose is to serve as a complaint resolution platform where consumers are able to post complaints against various fraudulent companies.

Although we may potentially be able to find Scambook users resolutions using our resolution platform, we are unable to give legal advice, we do not connect them with attorneys, and cannot promise that everyone will get their money back.

How long do I wait for a refund after I submit my complaint?

The outcome largely depends on the response time and cooperation of the business you have submitted a complaint against. Scambook Investigators are working hard to research and follow up on every single complaint submitted by our users. They are constantly reaching out to hundreds of businesses daily in efforts to find Scambook users resolutions.

Although we may potentially be able to assist Scambook users in finding resolution, we are unable to promise that everyone will get their money back.

Will every complaint I submit be resolved?

The success rate of complaint resolutions vary from case to case, however, we are contacting the business constantly in attempts to resolve your complaint and will be updating you as soon as there is any progress.

How do I delete my complaint?

Currently, submissions are final and cannot be edited or deleted by the user. Our system does this to prevent discrepancies while we process your complaint.

However, there is a 'follow-up' function on your Scambook Dashboard. Your updates will appear directly underneath your original complaint so, please post any updates, additional information, or clarifications you would like to make by making a follow up.

Will the content of my complaint affect my chances for resolution?

Remember to be as accurate as possible and to provide as much detail as you can. Once your complaint has been posted, be sure to submit as much evidence to support your complaint.

As a registered member, you have the ability to help others find justice! This can be done by simply commenting on their complaints and/or sharing your story of a similar experience.

Scambook does not tolerate any false reports or allow any form of defamation, slander, or libel. You will be held liable for what you post on the website.

Change username to anonymous

To change your profile username to Anonymous, first you must log on to your Scambook account, then click on the privacy section in edit profile:

There you will have the option to choose a screen name as opposed to your real name.

How do I update my email address?

To update your email address, first you must log on to your Scambook account, then click on the Account section in your settings:

There you will have the option to update your email address. Make sure you look out for an email from Scambook with a link to confirm the changes to your account. Your email updates will not go through until you have completed this last step.

How do I delete my account?

If you would like to delete your Scambook account, log on to your Scambook account and use the Contact Us function and someone from Scambook Support will be contacting you by email requesting confirmation of your request.

Please keep in mind that even if we delete your account, your complaint will stay active on our website, and you will no longer have access to your Scambook account.
