- I just noticed a charge on my bank statement for $18.05. What an absolute scam. I simply payed $1 on freecreditreport.com to get my credit report and score, and now have an unauthorized charge against my account for something I didn't even authorize. I'm very cautious when signing up online, and absolutely did not see any reference to a continuity marketing offer. What a scam!! I'll call the number you listed and make sure to get a full refund. These guys are highly unethical and should be shut down for being misleading and underhanded.

- I signed up for a free credit report and then I got charged $19.95. On my card 06/01/12! This is what they call free? What a real scam this is! Who authorized these crooks to bill me? I'm so sick of these taking advantage of people--especially me! I am calling my card co. to get my money back!

- I had the same exact thing happen to me. I just caleld 1-877-481-6826 and asked them to cancel my membership (which, of course, I didn't think that I had signed up for). I wasn't able to get my money back, but I was able to stop any further charges.

- Yes!! They charged me an initial fee $30.95 then a monthly maintenance fee of $19.95, after I called to cancel the monthly fee, the operator told me that there was a special that I could pay $9.95 per month for. Red flags were going off in my head! I told him to just cancel the monthly fee anyway, did a little research into this company and it has been listed as fraudulent by the better business bureau and heavily fined! I am pissed!! They have these jingly commercials about finding out about your credit etc. and then just bleed your account unless you are aware!

- I am sure that his has happened to everyone. You are able to receive your credit report three times a year. One from each of the credit reporting companies. The only site that you can truly receive your credit report for free with no string attached, no fines, no hidden fees, and not entering your credit card info is https://www.annualcreditreport.com/. These reports nor do any free reports you get about your credit include your credit score.

- I just noticed a charge on my account transactions this morning, did you ever find out what it is? My husband and I have signed up for credit report websites, could this be from there? I have never noticed it showing up like this before and it usually says on my account which debit card was used for this purchase but in this case it doesnt. Did you figure anything out?

- The actual website for you free annual credit report is annualcreditreport.com. freecreditreport.com is run by one of the credit bureaus and is just a front to get you to sign up for "credit monitoring services" If you want to see your actual credit report goto annualcreditreport.com
