  • Thanks for saving me form this scam. I googled it before ordering because the last thing I wanted to order was also a scam. The commercial gives the impression you can get two lanterns for $12.95 if you order right away, but on their main web site it says you get two, AFTER you pay an additional fee of $10. THAT is deceptive. That made me not trust them. And now I am here.

    Also it looks like they used digital software filters in their PC to make the lights appear brighter than they really are, and made the ordinary flashlight look pathetically dim.

    They advertised this in the wake of hurricane Sandy (Franinstorm coming after 10/28/12). And it seemed like such a great idea. Normally I don't care. A rip off is a rip off and I move on. But now, somehow, I got a sad feeling inside. They made them look so nice, yet I've read they are cheap junk. I'm just thinking. Isn't there any decency left in the world? There's so many scams, it's sad to see them taking advantage of people in an hour of need, or those trying to buy nice Christmas gifts for others early.

  • RadX133 speaks the truth, and as "RadX" stated, other offers are made without telling the public the cost. Each new potential buyer is duped. The worst aspect is 'NO' chance is given to review the charges, or delete errors. Then when one sees the non-authorized charges the lie continues with "no records available for 48-72 hours. Old Brooklyn Lantern is criminal and needs to be punished to the full letter of the law.......Marzie
