  • I did the complete opposite, like a dummy, than Robin. I was inputting my information hoping for a match for a payday loan, which is what was advertised.I guess this Platinum Online Group decided they would take money from my checking account because they advertised a search engine to find lenders. Then on 7-25-11 they helped themselves to my account for $99.49. I have 8 medications I have to have each month because of a stroke that took the whole left side of my body, but mostly my arm. I have diabetes, right now controlled by diet, which is very expensive to eat fresh today to stay healthy. Is there someone who can stop these people from taking money from people's private accounts?

  • I just had the same company, two days ago, for the exact same amount, debit my bank account also. I called their customer service number and asked to speak with a supervisor. The rep told me none were available and hung up in my face. I sent them a fax telling them that i was reporting it to the fraud department at my bank and consulting an attorney. Noone has still responded.

  • Eddie, I have a phone number for Platinum Online. I got it from the USA Credit folks who use them to promote their online "store". I called them first about the $99 that was taken from my checking account and they directed me to Platinum Online Group. The number they gave me is: 818-255-9973. I haven't had a chance to call it yet, as I just got it yesterday afternoon. Hope it works! Good luck to all of us who have been scammed by these unscrupulous people!

  • Sorry to hear they got you too, Amber. They only got $99 out of my checking account, after a phone call telling me that I had been approved for a payday loan (that I never got). I just happened to notice the $99 charge while reviewing my checking account online! I hope they don't try to get more, as they did with you. Hopefully, with so many stories posted here, these folks will get stopped somehow! Thanks for sharing.

  • filled out application for loan when platinum online group took not only 89.97 but also took 99.49 out of my account. including stop pay fee because I never ordered this product they cost me $223.46. Why would I pay that much for something when I was in need of a financial loan to pay my bills??

  • They did the same thing to me. Call your bank and get the phone number associated with the charge. Then call them and tell them you did not approve and demand your money be refunded. Don't let them tell you it can't be done. Insist on talking to a Manager if the person does not help you. They will refund the charges in about 3 days.
