  • Hi Donna, don't bother trying to call them!! :( I talked with AuraVie today, at length. Here's what they said: " When you signed up on the computer, you agreed to pay the full price ($97.88) for the product we sent you, unless you let us know within the 10-day trial period." I told the man I didn't want it, would send it back, and wanted a refund. He flat out said there is no way that will happen, that I "agreed" to the terms, which were located to the left on the screen when you put in your credit card number. (I have been burned this way before, a long time ago, and am VERY careful to read everything on the screens so I don't have this happen again. I also "tried" a product from Levelacare, on the same day..the same thing has happened. I was charged $87.95 a few weeks after I received the "sample." The guy at AuraVie said I did NOT sign up to receive a sample...etc. etc. So, the only recourse I have is to call my credit card dispute number, which I have done, lodge a complaint, and the only thing they can do is contact the company to see if I, in fact, did not authorize these charges. Apparently I did, unbeknownst to me!!! I am out a lot of money...let me know what they tell you.

  • I know how you feel. I ordered what I thought was a trial size of this product also. I didn't get it for eight days. Then I noticed a charge on my credit card of $97. for Auravie and $89. for the Levela. When I called them I was told that I got full size portions and should have called within ten days if I wanted to cancel. No where in the ad does it mention the full cost, nor does it say you must call in ten days. If that was it, I only had 2 days to try it.

  • Oh my God!!! I wished I had read about these complaints BEFORE I made the order. I too felt I was scammed, because of the misleading advertising, not to mention, that all the creme did was cause serious burning and irritation to my eyes. I couldn't even use it ANYWHERE near my eyes, because my eyes would burn for days!!! Something has got to be done!!!! What can we do to get these people OUT OF BUSINESS!!! They mislead their customers, and they're selling a product that can be (actually has been for me), injurious to your eyes! Someone, PLEASE HELP!!!! What can we do to????

  • This has just happened to me and I am on a fixed income, disables/retired lady of 65..they scammed me into my credit card with the total gimmick of risk free and free..just pay postage..before and after photo's bla bla bla..... next thing I know I'm missing $97.88 And I tried to stop payment and I have a claim going with my bank and the BBB in Ca. where the company has even an alias...gee I wonder why? Almost no one after looking at all those adds..and saying click here..ever gets to the tiny "Terms" area..so they don't know what they just did. I called the company, and a real smart alec of a person told me not to fight it, because I'll loose..and it went on and on... after about 10 min the phone rang and it was another employee of this co. much more pleasant, because I think they wanted to re tape the conversation in their best interest! These people don't care who they rip off! I'm fighting it, and so should anyone whose had this happen!

  • There is a new technology on the scam. You see advertisement from smart-consumer-living.com showing the free trial offer but nothing about the montly charge. Then you order, and your information is delivered to AuraVie website so they can say they have your transactions. Remember, you didn't authorize the transaction, so do dispute your credit card charge. The zombie website does disappear after a few days so they are removing the evidence but I kept copies of pdf file.

  • Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I spoke to AuraVie again this morning & they wouldn't give me an address to return the trial product for refund. They also told me they wouldn't refund the money anyway if the shipping container did not have the original seal. So I guess if you open the package, you're screwed. I've seen several different phone numbers & company names that they charge the accounts with. Mine, on my bank statement, says it was a company called NewSkin in CA & the phone # is 866-673-3254. On the NewSkin website it shows other products that don't say AuraVie but when I called the number from the charge on my bank statement the recording said AuraVie. Who frickin knows how many numbers & fake names these scammers use!

  • I spoke to one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of talking to again today, an AuraVie customer service representative. She told me it didn't matter if I sent the trial product back or not, they wouldn't refund the money. I had to have my debit card cut up by the bank & got a new number so they couldn't charge any future debits to my account. I'm furious about these people! I'm taking copies of these complaints I'm finding to my bank in the hope that it will help them see that I've been scammed along with all these other people. Maybe the bank will refund me the $140 in insufficient funds fees that it cost me after AuraVie charged my account without my knowledge & it threw my bank account into a tailspin.

  • Being that I used a bank credit card I am going to my bank now to see if they can do anything about these charges. I am taking everything I have printed out to them. I don't know how to do "screenshots" for this report but I did make a report here. Hoping someone else may see it and be aware ofthe dimly printed section that does say they will charge after 10 days.
