  • I know how you feel. scammers and cyber thieves are running rampant, they are ripping people left and right! My wife's ex drained over $13,000.00 from an SSDI and I got him at least $5,000.00 it's insane, my step daughters are being duped by him and even their best friend is draining and overcharging credit cards for goods and services! I think I'll throw up now. Good Luck, keep your eyes open and trust your gut!

  • This website changemyaddress.com seems to take you to official USPS.com site. It has USPS logo on the top left and says that you are on official USPS site. However, it is SCAM.

When called USPS they want nothing to do with your questions. USPS should take precautions and have it taken down. In fact USPS should not even ask for $1 to change your address. You do not make it easier, but it is a waste of time after one spends hours on the phone with USPS and their Bank dispute department.

Shut down any websites that are not official USPS.

  • Call your bank for debit card or your credit card company and dispute the charge. That is what I did. This company doesn't want to deal with this and only one day after my bank put a "temp credit" on my account they refunded my money!!! Also if you just call the change address scammers they will immediately give you a $10 refund. But you will be on hold for 15 - 30 min. Hope this helps. I reported them to the OH BBB as well as my local attorney general. There is also a report on them today on CNBC. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100908339

  • yeah i screwed that up but the url i gave you at the bottom is the postal service website. I tried going to "changemyaddress.com" but it actually redirects me the movers guide on usps.com where you put in change of address with the post office. not sure why or how you would give your credit card "accidentally" without knowing that you're paying for something but I wasn't asked for credit card info just to do a change of address form at usps.com

  • Says nothing about changing address, it says "registration for USPS Web Tools" which I assume would require a payment for a premium service and you paid it obviously. Change of address with the US postal service isn't even at that website at all. where you went is https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/

    Postal service website is https://www.usps.com/
