  • Rakesh, the refund was processed on may 30 by jet Star we have been advised by them that the refund takes 30 days to hit your charge card. Each airline is different and we are at their mercy when it comes to processing time. It hasn't been 30 days yet,but the refund they have assured us will be forth coming in a weeks time. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Melika, as a travel agency we are bound by the rules of the airline. There are restrictions that we follow when it comes to airline have changes in their operations. You have to fly on the same airline, and if there were no seats available with LH or UA the only option they give is to either sign your ticket over to another airline, which is done at the airport by the airline, or they will offer a refund. I am very sorry that someone didn't get back to you, however, provide us with the 8 digit booking number, and we will certainly research this, and see what options there are. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Customer did contact us immediately however, he was asking about making changes to his flights, baggage was never discussed. Agent explained the fees, he said he would call back, he was also advised if he didn't cancel within 24 hours the ticket was non refundable. Matt never called within the 24 hour period or we would of gladly refunded him his money, we would of had no reason not to. Also, if he canceled immediately, why the return call? Customer concern is baggage, he didn't feel he should have to click on the link to view baggage policies, although we advised of baggage rules, and also provided a link. Here's the email we received advising he has a problem with baggage, and not our bait and switched. Also, airlines have charged for baggage now for almost two years.
    I'm Matt, we talked earlier on the phone in reference to booking number:
    xxxxxxxx.I wanted to follow up with on the state of by dispute with CheapOAir.com
    on the matter of not clearly stating the baggage fees and other fees when booking a
    flight through you. As you can see in the attached PDF, when booking a flight
    through your website there is no clear markings that a baggage fee will be added.
    There is however a very small like that shows "baggage fees" this link is not
    highlighted nor does it specify wether my particular ticket would be accessed those
    fees, as the airline has different stipulations on the baggage fee it's self.
    CheapOAir gave me no indication on if those fees actually effected my booking. I was
    mislead by the "Total Price" assuming that would cover all my costs.

    Our website does not state that baggage fees are included, it states the opposite. We are currently working with Matt on a resolution.

  • After posting my initial disappointing response from Cheapoair.com I recieved a few emails with some attempts to help resolve my airline fare discrepency....slowly but surely Cheapoair started stepping up tothe plate (after I had to do the work with United Airlines get my cost reduction etc. Customer service & a manager really started providing excellent customer service and apologized & is continuing to work with me to make my flight finalized. They are taking the time to review my information & Uniteds information & really trying to make things right. I simply indicated that is all I wanted for someone to help me when I made that first call. Someone to actually have interest in helping me. They are doing so now & really are trying to make things right. Thank you Sydney

  • Ernest, your mom chose an "alternate date" option that was displayed for a cheaper fare. We offer this in case people are flexible in their travel dates, and want a cheaper fare. If she would of reviewed the "2" confirmations we sent immediately after booking and called to inform us, she could of received a full refund and start over. But calling us months later to inform us of an incorrect reservation there is the airline change fee of $200.00 plus the current fare for that travel date. I am very sorry that this was over looked and has caused an added expense, but we are not responsible for what customer's book online, and not notify us within a reasonable time frame to fix the problem.

  • Bob has been asked for his booking number so that we can research his complaint, but hasn't reached out to us. Airlines under go schedule changes and also changes in the equipment they use. When this occurs, seats can get re-arranged, or left unassigned by the airline. We are very sorry for his inconvenience, and have tried to reach out.

  • I called China Southern Airlines to re-booked the flight myself, the airline is only charging 200.00 dollars re-booking fee plus the difference of the price ticket. However, even the Agent cannot access the price of my ticket as he advised me it is black(or syndicated) price and he cannot do anything and advised me that only Cheapoair can do the rebooking.
    I am really surprised how powerful the influence of Cheapoair with airline companies that despite of numerous complaints still you have managed to hold on to your clients and not transact directly with the airlines.
    Despite that you are giving me confusing bookings,(even checking my confirmation number with Delta Airlines I am still booked on Sept.28),in your website I am receiving different confirmation, online its different and talking with your company its different.Even the last booking(Sept.13) you did not even provided my ticket number in the website,how can clients trust you?
    I do hope SCAMBOOK will help travelers like us being victimized by your agency and whoever reads this blog will reach the proper authorities so that you can stop fooling us by lurking us with cheap fares then later on be faced with scams like this.
    I already bought my ticket with another airline and i am claiming damages for all the troubles you have caused me.

  • Relyn, as a courtesy our company absorbed the cost for your last change and waived all the airline fees, and add collect. Now you are wanting to change back to the original flights free of cost. Unfortunately we already paid for one change, therefore you are responsible for the most current request, we have made no error to justify paying once again for another change you would like to complete. CheapOair.com resolved your first request and as a goodwill gesture paid.
    Very sorry that you changed your mind once again, but the rules of the ticket have to be followed, and change penalties on all airlines are applicable, as well as the cost of the new flights you want.

  • In order to address your concern about the luggage, we need you to forward your 8 digit booking number to [email protected]. We have posted on our website baggage links for your own verification, as well as going to the individual airlines websites for the most upto date details regarding baggage fees. It appears the extra charges are due to you adding additional 20lbs to your bags. Even though you are allowed so many free ones, the weight over rides any "free" bag policy. So you had extra weight fees, and extra bags. All these prices are based on the airline, not CheapOair, and as a customer you are obligated to also verify the rules of the airline before departure so there are no unexpected circumstances at the airport. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we are not obligated to pay for any additional cost regarding excessive bags.
